EVENT INFORMATION

Match Format

All matches need to be played by the appropriate ‘play by date’ for that round.

Each match must be arranged by both players/pairs at a suitable time. Once a date and time is agreed between each opponent, the competitors must then contact the tennis reception desk to confirm their 2-hour court booking at a chosen/available Hackney Tennis venue, which will be free of charge (as this is covered in your tournament entry fee).

As these are Hackney Tennis events, your match court can be booked more than 7 days in advance to help guarantee the court booking. This can be done by emailing [email protected] or calling the front desk: 020 8800 0680 (open 1pm-9pm weekday and 9am-7pm weekends). Any cancellations within 24 hours of the booking (not due to inclement weather) must be paid for by the competitors.

Please note, court availability will depend on how many courts Hackney Tennis is able to leave available to the public at the time of your booking request.

Except for the Finals’ Day matches, players will need to provide their own balls.

The winner of each match must email their result to the tournament organiser Luke Barker [email protected] within 48 hours of the completion of the match so the draws can be updated.

Competition Rules

Each match will be played during a 2-hour court booking, the format of the match will be the best of 3 full standard tie-break sets to 6 games, with a first-to-10-points (2 point clear) match tie-break to decide the match if it is one set all.

If your match takes longer than 2 hours you will need to book another time to complete your match. Cancelled court bookings, due to inclement weather, can be rescheduled.

All matches are to be played under the rules and regulations of the LTA.

Any disputes must be followed up in writing to the tournament referee Luke Barker.

All competitors who reach a main draw final must be available to play in the finals on Sunday 7th July

The deadline for entry is Monday 11th March.
